I see the Trinity
As a fruit-bearing tree.
Reaches with outstretched arms
Is branches and limbs
Bearing the Fruit of the Spirit in Him.
God’s Spirit, like fruit, trembles in its own wind
Blowing and blowing without origin.
The vine dresser, our Father, trims His tree
So the God-head bears fruit most abundantly
And to show us how to live relationally.
Or, perhaps, He’s also the roots
Drawing everything to Him to perfect His fruit.
You may see the Trinity another way;
So have your say,
Just permit me to say:
There is a Triune God,
Though three in One may seem odd.
But don’t you know we have many parts
Stretching out from our one beating heart?
