What Do You Think About Most?

In the olden days, some worshiped a calf;
We think this is absurd and even laugh.
But aren’t there other things we prize,
Not calfs, but things we greatly surmise.

Things that have filled our thoughts
Which we’ve fought for or secretly sought–
More than God or His only Son–
Things which have masqueraded as fun.

Friends, know that when we seek:
Power, pleasure, prosperity,
Or anything else before Him,
He says there’s no greater sin.

So let’s stop and leave no doubt
We’ll enter heaven, not left out.
