The Life of a Saint (Without Complaint)

God cries rain
On every lane
From that of the pauper
To that of the prince
On those who honor
Or give offense
Which begs a serious question
From a human perspective:
How do we treat such equality
With dignity?
Learn from the earth
Observe how it uses water for rebirth
Soaking in His tears
Year after year
Without complaint
That, my friend, is the life of a saint.
