Actors play a part
Untrue to their hearts.
There’s much labor in this play,
And the torment inside demands its say,
But no matter our need we act anyway.

Then God digs deeper than sleep
With the Truth that sets us free.
(And that Truth is none other than Him!”)
He unmasks our designs so that we
Might confess to Him and a friend
And give the play a fitting end.
