Set Your Dreams

We’re all in transition
Wishing for some position–
To become a wife,
To become a husband,
To start a new life,
Or get a job we’ve coveted.
Why is the present so hard to embrace?
Why do we long for an outer space
That never comes packaged the way we want?
So we buy the dreams
We shouldn’t have bought
And are left with one thought:
This dream I’ve attained
Seems so vain,
And I feel the same.
In a moment of repose
Suppose
You chose
To live for someone else
Other than yourself,
A person of infinite stature.
Set your dreams on Him
And your dreams will begin to matter.
